The Middle of Vancouver Island contains the Region of Central Island on the east side and the Pacific Rim on the West. The two sub regions are two totally different environments as they are creating the variety of the Vancouver Island. On the East you have the City of Nanaimo and ferry to Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver, the communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, in the center of the Region is Port Alberni, Tofino and Ucluelet are the anchors of the Pacific Rim. It is hard to recommend where to go and what to see first. By seeing the various sites of this Region you will develop some ideas what is your point of interest and where to go next.
