Okanagan Valley is a very warm area. Summer temperatures can
be steadily over 30C. Two main lakes in this area are Skaha Lake
and Osoyoos Lake. Both are very warm in a summer and they attract
thousands of visitors, who come every year, This area is extensively
agricultural, with innumerable number of fruit orchards on both
sides of the lakes. Beside the fruit orchards you will find vineyards,
and grape cultification is a huge industry. There is also large
vegetable producing industry here. Another feature is numerous
retirement facilities. After reaching Osoyoos, you can either
go east, to south Alberta, follow Highway 3 all the way to Vancouver,
or go south to the Washington State.
