"The
Hiking Capital of Canada", and one of the most well known
places in the Canadian Rockies. Hiking and camping in the summer
and skiing and skating in the winter are perennial favorites.
Come for the weekend or stay longer. Here you'll find a modern
accommodation, restaurants, coffee shops and the Chateau Lake
Louise, the much loved gem. You can rent a boat at the Lake Louise
or go for a hike. There is a day hike to the Glacier or shorter
one, just to the Tea House at the Agnes Lake. Close by is the
picturesque Moraine Lake, with hiking trails around the lake,
or trails down to the Valley. On the way down from Morain Lake,
there are even more lakes and other interesting points. Skiing
is the chief activity in winter.
