Banff, or the "Pearl" of the Rocky Mountains is also the Centre of the Banff National Park. This is a dynamic tourists Town, blessed with beautiful scenery, lakes, walking trials and excellent skiing in winter. There are also hot pools and scenic golf courses, which can also be enjoyed. There are numerous boat and bas tours, and a Gondola can take you to the top of the Sulphur Mountain, from which you can walk all the way up to Sanson's Peak, or further down to the Bow Valley. If tour doesn't interest you, you can stay in Town, go to the Bow River Park just of the Town Centre, or to the Museums. Shopping in Banff Avenue and at the Banff Spring Hotel is both sophisticated and varied.
