Calgary
Area is the populated area around the City, stretching mostly to
the West, including the Foothills, Kananaskis Provincial Park, Lower
Kananaskis and Bragg Creek. This area is a playground for almost
1mln people living in Calgary, apart from odds of outside visitors.
Bragg Creek is a 0.5 hour driving distance from Calgary, Kananaskis
Country about 1 hour. Hiking, backpacking, biking and mountain biking
is enjoyed in the summer, cross country and downhill skiing in the
winter. It has excellent access to Banff and Lake Louise. The east
and south side of the City is a vast farmland. Going south you may
take Highway 2 or 22 through Turner Valley and along the Foothills.
Area teams with picnic areas, campsites, Bed and Breakfast facilities
and small, interesting Towns.
