Lethbridge Area is an open prairie area. Dry and windy is Lethbridge area an excellent farming country. In South Alberta there is in place one of the most efficient irrigation system on the World. Supported by the mountain rivers and just recently by the Old Man River dam, the irrigation system is feeding thousands and thousands of acres of the South Alberta farmland. Lethbridge Area is also the home to one of most famous Provincial Parks, the Writing-On-Stone Park. The Mormon's Town of Cardston and the Village of Vulcan are the additional points of interest of the Lethbridge Area. The center of the sub-region is Lethbridge, small but vibrant Town with its own University and famous Japanese Garden.
