Alberta North is the part of the Province directly
north of Edmonton. Despite low density of population, you can find
here Towns and Hamlets worth to be seen for its quietness, different
rhythms of life, wild rivers and streams, and wildlife beyond imagination.
Towns like Fort McMurray, Peace River, Grande Praire, Slave Lake
or Fort Vermilion can be your base for unforgettable adventure
of wild water, lakes and just pure wilderness. The main communication
line for this region is the Alaska Highway, linking Edmonton and
Alaska, and in the past Edmonton and the gold bearing areas of
Dawson Creek and Alaska. You can follow the steps of early settlers
or adventures in the search for the yellow metal. North Alberta
is the home of oil sands exploration. Lately, entry point for the
Arctic diamonds.
